Isabella Gaitan

Isabella Gaitan arrived Monday evening from Cucuta, Colombia. "Isa" as she is affectionately called, is a 5' 2" bundle of smiles and grace who is well-prepared for her year abroad. Meeting her at Bush Intercontinental was Martin Clark, host families Gordon and Janet Reed and Bryan and Heather Moss, and Isa's cousin who lives in Kingwood. Isa was taken to her first American home and was all smiles when she examined her bedroom. "This is going to work good," she was heard to say. She will register for classes on Tuesday at South Houston High School.
There are 25 exchange students expected this fall in District 5890, from Europe, South America, Turkey, former Soviet Bloc countries, and Australia. They will all meet each other for the first time at a retreat in New Braunfels on August 27-29.
Pasadena South Rotarians are encouraged to include Isa in family outings to local and regional sites. Learning about American culture is a primary mission of exchange.
